Being Bought For A Price

These scriptures support and validate the fact that we must not only believe in

who Jesus is as our God and personal Savior,

but we must also understand & have faith in

what Jesus did on Calvary to atone for our personals sins!

John 1:29

29 The next day John sees Jesus coming unto him,

and saith,

Behold the Lamb of God,

which takes away the sin of the world.

Leviticus 17:11

11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood:

and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls:

for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul

Acts 20:28

28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves,

and to all the flock,

over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers,

to feed the church of God,

which he hath purchased with his own blood.

John 19:34

34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side,

and forthwith came there out blood and water.

Hebrews 9:12

12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves,

but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place,

having obtained eternal redemption for us.

1 Corinthians 2:2

2 For I determined not to know

any thing among you,

save Jesus Christ,

and him crucified.

Colossians 1:14

14 We have redemption,

the forgiveness of sins, in Him.

Hebrews 13:12

12 Therefore Jesus also suffered outside the gate,

so that He might sanctify the people by His own blood

Titus 2:14

14 Who gave himself for us,

that he might redeem us from all iniquity,

and purify unto himself a peculiar people,

zealous of good works.

1 Peter 1:18-19

18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things,

as silver and gold,

from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19 But with the precious blood of Christ,

as of a lamb without blemish and without spot

Matthew 13:15

15 For this people's heart is waxed gross,

and their ears are dull of hearing,

and their eyes they have closed;

lest at any time they should see with their eyes

and hear with their ears,

and should understand with their heart,

and should be converted,

and I should heal them.

1 Corinthians 15:1-4

15 Moreover, brethren,

I declare unto you the gospel

which I preached unto you,

which also ye have received,

and wherein ye stand;

2 By which also ye are saved,

if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you,

unless ye have believed in vain.

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received,

how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that He was buried,

and that He rose again the third day

according to the scriptures.

Hebrews 9:22

22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood;

and without shedding of blood is no remission.

So,

does how Christ died make a difference?

Would it make a difference if Jesus Christ

...had drowned?

...had fallen and hit His head and died?

...had been placed in a gas chamber and died?

Yes,

it makes a difference because redemption is by way of the shedding of Blood!
